BD Demand Center Entry overview

Bulk Delivery > Entry > Demand Center

Function acronym: BDED

Use this function as a single point of access to the automated bulk delivery system for both tank replenishment and tank emptying.

On this page, you can perform these actions:

  • Run the BD Entry Recommended Tank Replenishment Action Report.
  • Maintain or delete Tank Replenishment recommendations.
  • Create Tank Replenishment recommendations manually.
  • Refresh documents to update them with the latest data.
  • Filter recommendations, based on Warehouse, Truck ID, Delivery Due, Pickup Due, and Type of Service.

After you run the report, analyze, and adjust the line items, sales orders can be created. Sales orders are created for each Tank Replenishment recommendation. The order lines are created based on the Service Type defined for the tank:

  • For Fill service types, the order lines represent bulk products to be delivered to the customer.
  • For Empty service types, the order lines represent bulk products to be picked up from the customer. These include:

    • Return order lines for used bulk products.
    • An order line for the labor product associated with the BD tank.

An internal Delivery Transaction (BDET) record is created for each bulk delivery or pickup order line.

The BD Demand Center Entry grid displays the Tank Replenishment Reports that are ready for processing. You can sort reports in the grid by column headings. For example, you can sort by customer or customer ship to.

Note: BD Demand Center Entry is intended for replenishment of the contents of bulk storage devices that are assigned to a specific customer. To replenish your tanks or other bulk storage devices that are maintained in inventory, either to sell or lease to your customers, use the Purchase Demand Center Entry function.
