Enabling password reset for users

Use the steps in this section to enable users to set their own passwords. This section also explains how to require users to reset their passwords.

By default, users provisioned using the Analytics Configuration and User Provisioning application are not assigned a password. You can also use the steps in this section if you want to assign a password to a user.

  1. Log into Birst as a tenant account administrator.
  2. Select User Management. The User Management screen is displayed.
  3. In the Search field, specify the user's ID in this format: <tenant_id>_<Infor OS GUID>
  4. Press Enter.
  5. From the left panel, select the user.
  6. From the main panel, select Reset Password.
  7. An email from the Birst address donotreply@birst.com is sent to the user's email address.
