Sales KPI

This widget contains matrices that display Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for sales parameters: YTD Sales, MTD Sales, YTD Gross Margin, and MTD Gross Margin.

Based on the Year/Month value specified in the Apply filters section, the MTD Sales and MTD Gross Margin matrices display month-to-date value, whereas the YTD Sales and YTD Gross Margin matrices display year-to-date value. The matrix also displays the percentage difference between the current and previous year-to-month values.

For example:

  • The Year/Month field value is set to 2025/10.

    Note: By default, this field value is set to the current month.
  • The value for a parameter from 2025/01 to 2025/10 is 120.
  • The value for the same parameter from 2024/01 to 2024/10 is 100.

  • The percentage difference is calculated as:

    (120-100)/100 = 0.2*100 = 20%.

    Note: The positive percentage is displayed in green, and the negative percentage is displayed in red.

The View Details option in the widget enables you to access the Growth page in the Birst application. This page provides detailed KPI analysis for the sales.
