Storeroom-managed warehouses

Create a warehouse record in Distribution SX.e to generate a Location BOD that creates a warehouse record in Storeroom. You must designate the warehouse as Storeroom-managed and specify the customer or ship to on each record. You must also indicate which product cost to use during replenishment.

The Location BOD also creates company and customer number records that correspond to the warehouse if those records do not already exist in Storeroom.

Existing company and customer number records in Storeroom are not updated by the Location BOD. You can edit the records in Storeroom.

If you change the name of the warehouse in Distribution SX.e, the description is updated on the Storeroom warehouse record. You can update the ship to on the Storeroom record when you change a value on the Distribution SX.e warehouse record, such as the name, that generates a Location BOD.

You cannot delete the warehouse record in Distribution SX.e to delete the record in Storeroom. You must delete each record separately.
