Verifying operator security

Verify functional security settings in SA Operator Setup for these users:

• Default API operator

  The default API operator is the user specified for the operatorInit property in Storeroom. When an SX.API call is initiated in a Storeroom function, the security settings for the default API operator are used to run processes in Distribution SX.e.

  Typically, the default API operator is the 'sys' operator from Distribution SX.e, who should have full security for all functions. If you specify an operator other than 'sys', then ensure that the operator has full security for all functions.

• ERP operator

  An ERP operator is an employee of the distributor that can sign in to Distribution SX.e. The user's ERP operator ID for Distribution SX.e is specified on their Storeroom employee record.

  To use the Storeroom drillback hyperlinks to inquiry functions in Distribution SX.e, level 2 must be assigned to the ERP operator's SA Operator Setup for these functions:

  • Sales Order Inquiry
  • Purchase Order Inquiry
  • Transfer Inquiry
