Managing incomplete deliveries
Deliveries are completed when there is an outcome to the delivery attempt, either successful or unsuccessful. When a delivery is successful, the delivery status is advanced to SHIPPED and the sales order status is advanced to SHIPPED. When a delivery is refused, or a signature is required and no one is there to sign for it, the delivery is unsuccessful. Unsuccessful deliveries are placed in HOLD status, and the sales order status is advanced to ON HOLD.
An incomplete delivery is one that was not attempted. In this scenario, the schedule is FINISHED but still has incomplete deliveries associated with it.
