Terminology
You should be familiar with how these terms are used in Proof of Delivery.
- Route
A route groups deliveries into a unit. For example, deliveries can be grouped by the ZIP codes of ship to addresses on deliveries.
- Delivery
Deliveries are created from orders that are picked at the warehouse. The orders are ready to be loaded into a delivery truck and carried to the customer’s ship to address. Deliveries contain the information needed for a delivery, such as customer and ship to information, order number, products, etc.
- Delivery age
The number of days since the delivery order was transferred to Proof of Delivery.
- Manager
A manager can be a warehouse manager or a delivery driver manager.
- Handler
A handler is a delivery driver.
