Product Setup - Special Handling overview

Use this page to set the active special handling codes and to configure product certificates for the product if product certificates are being used in Distribution SX.e.

Note: To access the Special Handling tab, you must set the Special Handling checkbox to checked on the SA Administrator Options-Products-Product Restrictions screen or define product certificate types on the SA Table Code Value Setup-Product Certificate Type screen.

Special Handling

This section displays the active special handling codes for the product, which are defined on the SA Table Code Value Setup-Special Handling screen. You can assign these codes to the product to define product characteristics that affect packaging and shipment requirements.

Product Certificates

This section displays all the product certificates that are defined on the SA Table Code Value Setup-Product Certificate Type screen. You can assign these certificates to the product to indicate that the certificates are required upon product delivery.

The Certificates grid includes these details:
  • Certificate Required: A checkbox to assign the certificate to the product. The selected certificates are listed in the Assigned Certificates field.
  • Default to Lot: A checkbox to designate the current product certificate type selection for the product as the default setting for the lots of that product. The selected certificates are listed in the Default to Lot field.
  • Certificate Type: The name of the certificate as defined on the SA Table Code Value Setup-Product Certificate Type screen.
  • Description: The description of the certificate as defined on the SA Table Code Value Setup-Product Certificate Type screen.
  • Product Certificate Active: The status of the certificate as defined on the SA Table Code Value Setup-Product Certificate Type screen.
  • Receiving Type: Indicates whether the certificate is required from the vendor or supplier upon receiving, as defined on the SA Table Code Value Setup-Product Certificate Type screen.
  • IDM Document Type ID: The IDM document ID as defined on the SA Table Code Value Setup-Product Certificate Type screen.

  • IDM XQuery Attributes: The IDM query attributes as defined on the SA Table Code Value Setup-Product Certificate Type screen.
