SA Administrator Options - Integrations - Voice Interface Options overview

System Administrator > Administration > Administrator Options > Integrations > Voice Interface Options

Use this page to integrate Distribution SX.e with a third-party voice recognition application, such as the Lydia Voice app, to enhance picking efficiency and accuracy within Total Warehouse Logistics (TWL).

The voice picking function helps warehouse users to:
  • Save time by avoiding the need to manually hold a device while picking orders.
  • Efficiently pick small items, which can be time-consuming and require effort when using handheld devices such as RF scanners.
Voice picking functionality in TWL is activated when you set the Activated checkbox to checked on the SA Administrator Options - Integrations - Voice Interface Options screen and works only when you perform these actions:
  • Set the Enable Voice Interface checkbox to checked and define other voice options in the Voice Interface section of the TWL Warehouse Setup screen.
  • Set the Enable Voice Interface Assignment on Drop checkbox to checked and define other voice options in the Voice Interface section of the TWL Warehouse Zone Setup screen.
  • Set the Enable Voice Interface Assignment on Drop checkbox to checked on the Auto Drop Rule screen.
  • Set the Enable Voice Interface Assignment on Drop checkbox to checked on the Drop window of the Order Drop Manager screen.
Note: The Drop window is displayed when you select an order and click Drop.
  • Specify a value in the Check Digit For Voice Interface field in the Location Attributes section of the TWL Location screen. This value is used to confirm the location when picking a product.
Usage information for TWL voice picking app can be viewed on these screens:
  • TWL RF Voice Employee Maintenance screen for employees using the voice app in the warehouse.
  • TWL RF Voice Pick Maintenance screen for orders picked using the voice app in the warehouse.

Breaks

A break is a period during which the voice app is turned off. You can add multiple breaks in this section by specifying the language and break description. The user in the warehouse must say the description to trigger the voice app to turn off.

You can perform these actions in the Breaks grid:
  • Create a new break value using the New option.
  • Modify the existing break value.
  • Remove the break values from the grid using the Delete option.

You can use the grid features such as filtering and Export to Excel.
