TWL Configuration - TWL Warehouse Setup field descriptions
Fields are presented in alphabetical order within each section.
General
- Active
- Select this checkbox to activate the current TWL warehouse.
- Address
- Specify the address of the TWL warehouse.
- City
- Specify the city where the TWL warehouse is located.
- Country
- Specify the country name where the TWL warehouse is located.
- Damaged Inventory Zone
- Select a warehouse zone where damaged inventory is placed. The zone must be defined on the TWL Configuration-Warehouse Zone screen.
- Name
- Specify a descriptive name for the TWL warehouse, which can refer to a site, building, yard, or specific area within a warehouse. This name is used on shipping documents to identify the sending location.
- Parcel Management Maintained By
- Specify whether shipping is maintained by the Host, a shipping interface, or by TWL.
- Q/A Inspection
- Select this checkbox to route all received inventory for this warehouse for inspection.
- Receiving Zone
- Select a warehouse zone where the received inventory is placed. The zone must
be defined on the TWL Configuration-Warehouse Zone screen.Note: This zone can be overridden at the item level from the master records defined on the TWL Configuration-Item screen.
- Region
- Specify a region to categorize your sales area. This region is also used for reporting purposes.
- State
- Specify the state where the TWL warehouse is located.
- Zip Code
- Specify the zip code where the TWL warehouse is located.
Warehouse Parameters
- Allow Over Picking if the Item Allows it
- Select this checkbox to enable over picking from the warehouse. You must also set the Allow Over Shipping checkbox to checked, for individual products on the TWL Configuration-Item-Miscellaneous-Outbound screen. You must be aware of the setting for counter sales in Picking system-parameter 7013, Picking Counter Sales Over Pick Quantity. You can disable over picking for all counter sales using parameter 7013, even if the products are set to allow over picking.
- Labels
- Select the label generator. Possible options:
- EPP/IDM Integration to generate barcode label output using Enterprise Printing Platform or Infor Document Management. See Integrating TWL with Enterprise Printing Platform and Integrating TWL with Infor Document Management.
- Standard Zebra Printing to generate legacy barcode label output on Zebra printers.
- Packing Type
- Select the type of packing. Possible options:
- Pick to Pack
Items are placed in a shipping container as they are picked. By default, the same ShipTo name and address for all items in the carton are validated.
- Pick to Tote
Items are placed in an intermediate container during picking. When the order is picked, items are packed into a shipping container.
Note: You can override the warehouse packing type for a TWL employee using the Pick to Pack Employee Override checkbox on the TWL RF Employee Setup screen. - Pick to Pack
- Pallet
- Select the type of pallet labeling. Possible options:
- Pre-Printed labels indicate the vendor provided barcoded pallets or barcodes attached by receiving operators upon inventory receipt. This option is recommended for streamlined receiving processes.
- System Assigned labels indicate labels to be printed on the receiving dock upon inventory receipt.
- Pick From Dock
- Select this checkbox to fill orders as soon as goods are received.
- Pick Labels
- Select the method for printing pick labels. Possible options:
- Pre-Printed
Labels are printed when orders are dropped.
- On-Demand
Pickers can print labels as needed.
- Pre-Printed
- Put Away Type
- Select the type of put away. Possible options:
- Directed put away is guided by the system to maximize space utilization. This is the default option.
- Non-Directed put away is performed at your discretion.
Voice Interface
The Enable Voice Interface checkbox allows you
to enable the required functions such as Normal
Assignments, Chase Assignments, and
Normal and Chase Assignments for the selected
warehouse. The Voice Interface section settings determine the
functioning of the integrated voice application. The Replace
Voice Settings in Zones with Warehouse Settings on Save checkbox allows you to
replace voice settings in warehouse zones with warehouse voice settings upon saving. The
Use LUT (two-way messaging) field indicates the
type of message to be sent when the order is picked. This field is set to Always
Use Two-Way option by default, and the other options are currently
disabled.
Note: The Voice Interface section is
displayed when the Activated checkbox is set to
checked on the SA Administrator Options - Integrations - Voice Interface
Options screen.
