Required
- Company #
- This field is auto populated based on the company you are logged into.
- Description
- Specify a descriptive name for the zone.
- Type
- Specify the type of TWL warehouse zone. Possible options:
- Regular
These zones are used for bulk, rack, shelving, and floor stock storage. Some zones require special equipment.
- Counter Sale
These zones are used to store Counter Sale (CS) orders. Each warehouse can have only one counter zone. TWL creates a location named Counter when you set up the counter zone.
- Carousel
A carousel is an automated system used to store and retrieve items efficiently, often through rotating shelves or trays that bring items to the operator for picking or replenishment. Control formats for a system-controlled carousel system are generated by TWL when inventory is stored by TWL. The carousel system enhances these processes in TWL:
- Picking
- Cycle counting
- Inventory control
- Discrepancy
These zones are used during a four-wall physical inventory. Inventory adjustments can be transferred from their current location to the discrepancy zone for verification later. Direct receipts and standard put away allow you to put stock in this zone for items with an unavailable stock status.
Note: Only one discrepancy zone can be set up per warehouse and should not be used for picking. - Damaged Inventory
These zones are used to store damaged inventory that is not available for sale. These zones are not intended for receiving goods. Multiple damaged inventory zones can be set up per warehouse. Direct receipts and standard putaway allow you to put stock in these zones for items with an unavailable stock status.
- Cross Dock
These zones are used to route on-demand goods received to fill existing orders that have not been dropped to the cross-dock location for picking. The remaining quantity received is directed to a storage location based on standard putaway logic.
