Distribution SX.e TWL
TWL includes order processing, picking, packing, shipping, and delivery. TWL also includes inventory control through replenishment, receiving, put-aways, counting, and balancing processes.
The financial data, static records, and the proprietary information of your company are controlled by Distribution SX.e. Data from daily transactions that affect your warehouse is passed to TWL for processing.
These integrated components create an interface between Distribution SX.e and TWL to exchange data:
-
Warehouse Logistics: The Warehouse Logistics (WL) module in Distribution SX.e includes functions for inquiry, entry, reports, and administration. Because the WL module can communicate with other extensions, it is separate from the TWL module.
WL Transaction Inquiry, the primary function in the module, shows all data communication files that are passed between the modules and the system database. You can use WL Transaction Inquiry to monitor, resubmit, or modify the status of some communications.
-
TWL: TWL is comprised of the TWL web module, the TWL Radio Frequency (RF) module, and the End of Day (EOD) background utility.
Warehouse managers use TWL module functions to schedule and direct tasks that are performed by RF users. The information that is gathered by RF units updates the TWL web module system in real time. Because every movement in the warehouse is recorded, several analysis and management reports are available and can be run from the TWL web module.
For certain tasks that are performed with the RF, transactions are verified for accuracy by the TWL web module. The TWL web module also directs movements to reduce traveling, searching, and misdirection.
The EOD process maintains the age of data that is stored in the TWL files. EOD calculates inventory class by velocity, schedules cycle counts, clears system log files, clears inventory discrepancies, and creates the product history files.
-
Database: The database contains schema and data for all modules in Distribution SX.e, including TWL.
