Maintenance workflow

In the maintenance workflow, a sales order is created in Distribution SX.e when you submit an issue in Storeroom. The sales order is placed in the Stage 1-Ordered. You can edit the order, pick and stage the order, and then ship the order at your discretion.

These steps outline the maintenance workflow:

  1. An issue is created in Storeroom and submitted to Distribution SX.e.
  2. A corresponding sales order is created in Distribution SX.e.

The sales order is placed in Stage 1-Ordered. The sales order is available for editing in the Maintenance function in Storeroom. You cannot edit the sales order in Distribution SX.e.

  3. Optionally, pick tickets can be printed in Distribution SX.e using the Sales Entry Pick Ticket Report.

If the pick tickets are printed in Distribution SX.e, the sales order is placed in Stage 2-Picked. The sales order remains available for editing. A back order is created, if required.

Pick tickets can also be printed in Storeroom, but it does not affect the stage of the sales order.

  4. The issue is shipped in Storeroom.

The order is placed in Stage 3-Shipped. The issue is removed from the Maintenance function in Storeroom.

  5. The sales order is invoiced in Distribution SX.e using the Sales Entry Invoice Processing Report.
