Pre-receiving a warehouse transfer

Pre-receiving is an optional step in the receiving process. Warehouse transfers that pass through the pre-receiving process are in Stage 4 (Pre-Received). Pre-receiving helps to eliminate errors before you update the system through Transfer Receipt of Inventory Entry.

  1. Select Transfer > Reports > WT Reports > Pre-Receiving Report.
  2. Generate a report.
  3. Check the items on the packing slip against the report.
  4. Follow your internal procedures for verifying and staging products and handling discrepancies.
