-
Specify search criteria, and then click Search.
Note: If you do not specify an Order, then Warehouse is a required field. TWL and Storeroom warehouses are excludedNote: When a build-on-demand kit product is entered in the Product search field, all of the component records on the kit are searched. Components that are set up as linear cut lot products are returned.
-
Select the order in the grid and click Allocate
Lots. Use one of these methods to select lot numbers, and click
Save when the Quantity to Allocate is 0
- Click Auto Assign, and then specify the Number of Pieces required and the Cut Length of product to be assigned.
- Select the lot from the Lot Entry grid, and then specify the quantity. Optionally, select an existing cut piece from the Dimensional Cuts grid.
- Click Oldest to assign the oldest lot number to the product. Split across lots? is displayed. If the quantity on the sales order line is greater than one, you can click Yes and allocate from multiple lots, as long as each piece selected is long enough to fulfill the line's or component's quantity needed. If the oldest lot does not contain enough product to cover the quantity needed, the next oldest lot that can cover the entire quantity needed is used. If the quantity on the sales order line is one, you must allocate one piece that is long enough to fulfill the line's or component's quantity needed. You cannot select two or more smaller pieces to add up to the length needed.
- Repeat steps as necessary to allocate additional lots.
