Configuring VA items with product configurator during sales order entry

When automatic sourcing for CPQ-Configured Value Add (VA) products is enabled, a Customer Service Representative (CSR) can access the Infor CPQ Configurator from Sales Order Entry through the VA workflow. After adding a sales order line for a CPQ-Confgurator VA assembly-type product, the CSR can use the Configurator to define the product's configuration. This configuration updates the tied VA order using inventory components from CPQ and section data from VA Product Default Setup. After the configuration is finished, a manual price override from CPQ occurs in the Value Add Rollup window. This overrides the sales order line price when you return to Sales Order Entry.

  1. Select Sales > Entry > Order.
  2. Select Stock Order or Quote, complete the remaining fields in the section, and click Next.
  3. Specify the VA product information.

Products that are configured for this CPQ integration workflow require a Value Add Assembly Type of CPQ Configurator in Product Setup-General and require a valid CPQ RuleSet in Product Setup-Cores & Configurator.

  4. Verify the unit, price, and discount.
  5. Click Add to add the line. The tied VA order is created.
  6. Click Configure in the VA Order Entry toolbar to access CPQ and configure the item.
  7. Configure the item in CPQ; click Finish.
  8. Click the left arrow in the Configuration Complete window to return to your current order in VA Order Entry. The components, sections, lines, notes are added to the VA order.
  9. Complete the VA order.
  10. Save and close the VA order. The Value Add Rollup window displays a manual price override from CPQ in the Price Override field. Optionally, you can make changes to markup and margin cost and recalculate the pricing.
  11. Click Update to return to Sales Order Entry and override the sales order line price.
  12. Complete the sales order.
