RF general navigation

The main menu is displayed after you successfully log into the system.

You can access the functions for which you have security. Each of the Main Menu screens provide access to additional menus specific to the task.

Note: Distribution SX.e does not support the use of soft keyboards on web-based RF devices. A soft keyboard, also called an on-screen or software keyboard, is an on-screen image map that you can use instead of the hardware keyboard on an RF device. Soft keyboards often use a Go button instead of an Enter button. Because Distribution SX.e logic is based on the Enter button, validation of entry may not occur if the Go button is used. Soft keyboards are also not supported because the software for soft keyboards is not controlled by Distribution SX.e. We cannot guarantee their security or that the keys are programmed to function as expected.

Use these functions to navigate within theTWL RF system:

  • To log in to the RF device, sign in using your Distribution SX.e operator log in, which is connected to your TWL RF Employee record. This message will display: Would you like to clear the operators session?. Select Yes and then select Sign In. Use the Triple Bar in the upper-left corner of your window to view or change the company or warehouse you are currently logged in to. You can also use this menu to sign out of the RF.

  • To return to the previous menu, press F4. This function only works when you are navigating between the main menu, a receiving menu, a system inquiry menu, or any of their sub-menus. You must press the back button in the RF browser to return to the previous menu when you are using a function where data is present.

    If you exit the RF browser where data is present with out using the back button, can leave data records in an incomplete state. The data records become locked when a user closes the web browser instead of using the back button in the TWL RF user interface, leaving the records inaccessible for other users. These data records are logged in TWL Execution - RF Admin Maintenance when the user does not exit a TWL RF window properly.

  • To return to the Main Menu or press F4, in most screens. Press Enter from a blank field to show this question: Leave this screen? Specify Yes and the RF takes you back to the last menu that displayed, so you can navigate to other functions from there. To find defined function keys, press ? from the main menu.

  • Press F13 or Shift+F3 from any RF function to view the field name and program you are using.

    Note: These keys may be defined for other purposes on some RF units.
  • Press Enter to clear the window and show the menu or function that displayed before you accessed the screen.
  • Press Tab to navigate between fields. For example, when logging in to the RF, press Tab until the User ID/Company field is highlighted. Press Enter to display a list of User IDs. Specify your User ID or arrow and press Enter to select. Press Tab to leave and select the Sign In button with Enter.
