SA Role Based Security - Menu Function Security field descriptions

Fields are presented in alphabetical order within each section.

Menu Function Security Search

Use this section to search for a menu function security setting. Specify the information in the fields and click Search.

Function Name
Specify the acronym of the function for which you want to set security. For example, oe to search for the order entry functions.
Include In Updates
Select Both, Yes, or No to determine if these items are included in the search. Select Yes to view items with the Include In Updates check box selected. Select No to view items with the Include In Updates check box cleared. Select Both to view both types of items.
Record Limit
Specify the maximum number of search results that can be returned.

Menu Function Security Table

Use this section to view and update the menu function security settings.

Button Position
A numerical value for the position of the button.
Created Date
The date that the record was created.
Function Name
The acronym of the function for which you want to set security.
Include In Updates
Select this check box to include the field in the daily system update for that role. To exclude a field from the update, clear the check box.
Minimum Security Level

The minimum security level of the function.

Parent Menu
The name of the parent menu for the function.
Record Type
The type of record. For example, report, menu, or other.
Security Level

To change the security level, click in the Security Level cell and specify a security level from 1 to 5. You can also select a row and click Set Function Security, select a security level, and click OK. Do not set the Security Level lower than the Minimum Security Level.

Window Title
The name of the window.
