WL Transaction Inquiry overview
Function acronym: WLIT
Use this page to view the data transmission files that pass between TWL and Distribution SX.e. It shows the transaction files created before they are downloaded to TWL and the TWL data transmissions after they are uploaded.
The fields that are displayed in WL Transaction Inquiry are dependent on the order type that relates to your inquiry.
When the data is received from TWL, the transactions reside in WL Transaction Inquiry. Then the appropriate batch processing function picks up the transaction and updates the system with the information.
This inquiry contains these features:
- You can change the position of the columns to view specific information.
- You can access options, such as Notes, Extended, Components, and Serial/Lots, for a single line. These options are disabled if you select multiple lines.
- For multiple-line options, and , are available. Use the navigation options icon for Settings.
- Custom user fields are available in line item detail. Contact your system administrator for information on these fields.
- Notes may exist for the order header, lines, product, customer, or vendor. Notes that are associated with records can be received and viewed from the Distribution SX.e system. If a standard note exists for an entity, such as Product Setup, a notes indicator is displayed in the entity field. You can then view the note from the Notes context widget.
- Some of the major fields on this inquiry also contain hyperlinks to related inquiry centers. These fields are displayed in a user-defined color. For example, if you click the Vendor # field, the Vendor Inquiry is displayed. If you click the Order # field, the Sales Order Details is displayed. If you click the Product # field, the Product Inquiry is displayed.
- To expedite the inquiry, you can limit the number of records that display in the Order Data, Master Data, and Returns PO views.
- If you are creating a large number of records, WL Transaction Inquiry may time out if you have not set limiting filters. The WL Transaction Summary Report provides a summary of all WL transaction records based on warehouse and date for the WL Transaction Inquiry record counts. When you review the report, you can then be more precise in your WL Transaction Inquiry advanced search filters. For example, you can set your filters to focus on errors. In addition to the WL Transaction Summary Report, the record count for WL Transaction Inquiry allows up to 9,999 records. A zero count automatically sets to the default of 500.
You can set up security for each window in the inquiry center, however, security to modify a record is controlled by the security for WL Transaction Inquiry. An operator must have security level 3 or above to change the status of transactions. To reprocess a transaction, you can either resend a new transaction or manually adjust the changes. You cannot activate an inactive transaction.
Purging inactive transactions
Inactive and message transactions are automatically purged from WL Transaction Inquiry when the Distribution SX.e application is updated. A conversion program is initiated by the Infor Cloud Operations team each time an updated version of Distribution SX.e is applied to your production tenant. This conversion program purges all inactive transactions that are 180 days and older. Message transactions that are 90 days and older are also removed. This is to prevent the database from filling up with processed records and impacting system performance.
To remove inactive and message transactions sooner than 180 and 90 days, run WL Delete Transmission Report. You can also select Purge WLIT when they become Inactive in SA Administrator Options-Logistics-WL Options to immediately delete inactive transactions from WL Transaction Inquiry.
