- Old Product Category

Specify the product category to change. The product category be set up in SA Table Code Value Setup. If you specify an invalid product category, an error occurs and processing stops.
- New Product Category
-
Specify the new product category. If you did not specify a range of products and you specify a product category that already exists, an error occurs and processing stops.
If you specify a product category that does not exist and you select Yes for the Change Existing SASTT Record? (System) option, these actions occur:
- The new category is added as a table value with the description of the old product category.
- The old product category is deleted.
Note: The product categories in Product Administrator Month End Update Frozen Conditions, Product Catalog Setup, SA Administrator Options-Product-Defaults, and SA Administrator Options-Documents-Service Warranty-Entry Settings records are not changed by this function. - Change Existing SASTT Record? (System)

Select Yes if you did not specify a product range. Select No if you specified a product range. You must then manually set up the new product category in SA Table Code Value Setup before you run this report. If you did not specify product range and you select No, an error occurs and processing stops.
- Change Existing ICSEG Records? (GL)

Select Yes to change existing Product General Ledger Distribution Setup records. If you did not specify a product range, select Yes. Otherwise, you must manually change the Product General Ledger Distribution Setup records. Select No if you specified a product range. You must then manually set up the new product category in SA Table Code Value Setup before you run this report.
- Change Existing SMSP/SMSVP Records?

Select Yes to change existing SM Setup Product Category by Totals (SMSP; character only) and SM Setup Product Category by Vendor records (SMSVP; character only). Select No if you specified a product range.
- Change Existing SMSEP Records?

Select Yes to change existing SM Setup Extended Product Category by Customer Totals (SMSEP). Select No if you specified a product range. The new product category must be set up in SA Table Code Value Setup before you run this report.
- Change Existing Orders? (OE,PO,WT,BP)

Select Yes to change the product category on these types of orders, regardless of the stage of the orders:
- Sales order
- Purchase orders
- Warehouse transfers
- Kit production work orders
Nonstock products, PO and WT RRAR line items, and OE Transaction Entry Batch records (OEETB; character only) are updated and will honor any ranges that are specified in this report.
The product category is stored in the PD Entry Rebate Reconciliation (PDER; character only) record when Yes is selected. On the report, a separate total is given for the number of records that were changed.
- Change Existing PDSC Records?

Select Yes to change any level 2 pricing records, customer by product category, to the new product category.
If you specified a product range, it is ignored if you select Yes for this option. All pricing records with the old product category are changed to the new product category.
- Change Existing PDSR Records?

Select Yes to change any level 5 rebate records, rebate by product category, to the new product category.
If you specified a product range, it is ignored if you select Yes for this option. All rebate records with the old product category are changed to the new product category.
- Print Changed Products?

Select Yes to include the total number of changed records on the report. The products with categories that changed are also included.
