Transfer Pre-Receiving Report overview
Function acronym: WTRI
Use this report to verify the receipts that you are processing. Only transfers in Stage 3-Shipped or Stage 4-Pre-Received qualify for the report.
The Transfer Pre-Receiving Report includes the quantities that are available to be put away and quantities that are required to fill existing sales and transfer back orders. The quantities and units on the report reflect the values from line items on the warehouse transfer.
Because you cannot physically receive an implied core product charge, lines containing an implied core product charge are not included on the report.
Printable notes that are attached to a transfer are included on the report below the WT # and warehouse.
Pending Receipts
When you implement inventory allocation by assigning a reservation type to a warehouse product, use the pre-receiving functions to fill orders from pending receipts. Pre-receiving reports list all order quantities from orders and transfers in Stage 2-Picked that have inventory reserved against pending receipts. Although it is not required, pending receipts should be pre-received within these time frames:
- Before the inventory physically arrives at the warehouse
- After related pick tickets are printed
- Before products have been removed from the receipts
The individual order numbers and line details are included on the report. Use this information to determine that quantity to put away and quantity to pick and ship to customers.
Received quantities that are entered in the PO and WT receiving functions should reflect these quantities:
- The total that was counted
- Quantities that were picked from the receipt before counting was performed
