VA Late Charge Entry overview

Use this function to enter late charges against a closed Value Add order. UseVA Late Charge Entry to track unexpected charges incurred as part of the fabrication process but not received until the Value Add order has been closed and product delivered against the fabrication process.

Tracking charges against the fabrication process provides actual margins and accurate cost information to help you more accurately price the product in the future.Charges incurred after a Value Add order is closed do not affect the Product Warehouse Product Setup record’s average cost for the Value Add product. Instead, these charges are applied to a new late charges total stored with the Value Add order.

In VA Order Inquiry, you can view late charges specified in VA Late Charge Entry.

Note: You must enable operator security in SA Operator Setup - Function Security for the VA Late Charge Entry function and the VA Order Inquiry Late Charges sub-function for operators to have access.
