TWL Execution - Inventory Discrepancy overview
Function acronym: TWLEI
Use this page to view TWL Inventory Discrepancy records and run cycle counts to help ensure inventory accuracy by quantity and location.
Inventory discrepancies may occur for several different reasons such as inventory misallocation or inaccurate product quantity recordings. These discrepancies are typically caused by warehouse employee error. When inventory discrepancies occur they are recorded and logged in TWL Execution - Inventory Discrepancy. To specify a search for a specific inventory discrepancy record, use the multiple filters to narrow down your results.
You can specify your search query for inventory discrepancies using these filters:
- Specify a Transaction Type to view a specific transaction activity or task. You can find a list of transaction types in TWL Configuration-Adjustment Code.
- Specify a Problem Type to view discrepancies that were caused by a location, pallet, quantity, or unknown reasons.
- Select the Negative/Zero Inventory option to view only inventory discrepancies that were created during normal processing tasks. Selecting this option limits the filters available.
- For the Record Type field, Data Related is selected by default. If you select Information Only, you cannot create cycle counts from the results.
After your search query is complete you can run a cycle count to ensure your inventory data is accurate. Click
to perform your cycle count. Cycle counting is performed on a small portion of the warehouse everyday. The goal of cycle counting is to keep the available inventory for sale as accurate as possible. Errors in the system should be removed at the same rate they are being generated. Cycle counts are automatically closed after they are administered.
