SA Event Manager Event Setup overview

System Administrator > Event Manager > Activate

Function acronym: SAEE

Use this page to manage the business events that are defined by Infor. You can activate events and determine what action should be taken once the action occurs. Each event can only be attached to one trigger.

SA Event Manager Event Setup is intended for use by Infor staff, and you should not make changes to event templates using this function. This function is intended for inquiry purposes only. New events can be added during the normal system development cycle or via a custom modification. To initiate a custom modification, you must contact Infor’s Consulting Services group to arrange for an event to be added.

This is a metadata screen that reflects what must occur in the system for this event to take place as well as what information is captured when the event occurs. This screen is only used if a custom modification or code change is applied and options are changed. This function cannot be used by itself to customize the options for events. If you want to add a new field, the underlying program code needs to be applied before the new fields can be used.

Selection fields for Data Types Amount, Character, Price, and Date

Each event has selection criteria that determines whether the event has occurred. The first level of criteria is determined by Infor. The second level is user-controlled. After the event has occurred, the user has control over additional limiting factors to determine if the event should continue. Use the Selection Fields to define the additional selection criteria available to determine if an event has occurred. The information you specify in this view appears in the Additional Filters view in SA Event Manager Activate Entry. The Selection Fields window opens when you click one of these data types:

  • Amount
  • Character
  • Price
  • Date
Note:  The values on the Selection Fields view are only available when you change an event after you have copied it from an Infor-created event. They cannot be maintained on the original event.

Event Copy

If a new event is similar to an existing event, you can use the copy an existing event, and then modify the new record to define the new event.
