Purchase Order Inquiry overview
Function acronym: POIP
Use this function to view detailed information about purchase order header line items, totals, and history. If you know the purchase order number, specify it in the Purchase Order # field, and then click . If you do not know the PO number, click the icon to perform a search using additional information. You can also conduct an Advanced Search
You can view Tied Order # and Tie Type fields in these screens:
- The results grid of Advance Search
- The line detail grid
You must set the Display field in the Advance Search pop-up to the option Line Detail to view the Tied Order # and Tie Type fields in the results grid. Tied Order # is a hyperlink that you can click to review the tied order.
If many tied orders are linked to a purchase order line, then the word Multiple is displayed. You must drill into the line to see the tied orders. The Tie Type field is blank in this case. You can use personalization to remove the fields from the screen.
When a purchase order has been corrected in Purchase Receipt of Inventory Entry, an indicator displays "Corrected" under the PO # field in the grid. This purchase order reflects the original line and amounts that were received. A purchase order suffix that is created as a correction to another purchase order, displays "Receipt Correction". The line detail for these orders also reflects if that line has been corrected.
Drill down on a purchase order in the grid to access different views to see detail about line history, line detail, and pricing. After the document is open, you can use the IB Inventory Receiving Labels Report for the receiving label from any tab if the purchase order is received, before Final Update You can also confirm the products that have been entered on a purchase order, the quantity ordered, the quantity received, or the quantity invoiced. The View Costs option in SA Operator Setup must be selected for costs, prices, and net amounts to be displayed. You can create and view notes from any Purchase Order Inquiry view using the Notes context app.

By default, these grid columns are hidden:
- Created By
- Reference
- Total Invoice Amount
- Total Invoice Amount Anticipated
- Total Quantity Received Anticipated
- Total Received Amount
- Total Received Amount Anticipated
You can use personalization to unhide them. Additionally, you can use extensions to add color to grid columns. For example, highlight the columns that show anticipated values.
