PD Automatic Pricing Setup overview

Pricing and Discounting > Setup > Automatic Pricing

Function acronym: PDSA

Use this page to set up mapping parameters for importing product and price change file on magnetic media that a pricing service bureau or manufacturer distributes. Existing records are displayed in the grid.

Pricing service bureaus and some manufacturers specialize in providing pricing and descriptive product information on magnetic media. Updating your records this way enables you to maintain competitive, up-to-date price and cost information and helps you reduce the amount of manual record updating. The data supplied by your service bureau on magnetic media, for example, disk or tape, is converted into a flat file, based on the data file layout that you establish inPD Automatic Pricing Setup.

The fields in the Additional Information section tell the system how to use the data from the flat file.

PD Administrator Automatic Pricing uses the flat file that contains the updated product and price information and updates your records according to the options you select. The price and cost fields in Product Warehouse Product Setup are updated when you generate PD Administrator Automatic Pricing. You can also use PD Administrator Automatic Pricing
