Sales Entry Generate Service Orders Assembly Report overview
Function acronym: OERAO
Use this report to create assembly SROs in Service Management. The report indicates if an assembly product on a sales order in Distribution SX.e was successfully added to an assembly SRO. If an error occurs, you can correct the error and then re-run the report. Only stock orders and direct orders can be included on the report.
When you run the report, an APICreateSROFromExternalOrder
call is
generated to create the assembly SROs in Service Management. A sales order must
contain at least one assembly product and an associated template to qualify for inclusion in
the report. 'Successfully Added' is displayed in the Results column on the report if the
assembly product was added to a new or existing assembly SRO. The report also includes the
sales order number, customer, quantity, unit, template, and SRO number. The SRO number is
also the service key value. To include the assembly components on the report, use the
Summary/Detail option on the report.
When an assembly SRO is successfully created in Service Management, a ServiceOrder BOD is sent to Distribution SX.e to update the sales order with any assembly components from the template. A service line key is assigned to the sales order lines for assembly products and a service key, which is the SRO number, is assigned to the sales order header.
If an assembly product is not successfully added to an assembly SRO, then an error message is displayed on the report. The Assembly Ready for Service option is not selected in Service Management, which indicates that the assembly SRO is still in the creation state. You can correct the sales order and then re-run the report. If a sales order includes multiple assembly products, only the assembly products that had errors are re-processed. If the corrected assembly product was included on a sales order with other assembly products, it is added to that existing assembly SRO in Service Management.
If an assembly product caused an error, you can send it to lost business. If an assembly product that you send to lost business is the only assembly product that was not successfully added to the assembly SRO, these events occur:
- The assembly order becomes automatically unavailable for edit. The assembly order and the assembly SRO are fully integrated because, based on the service key values, every assembly product on the sales order is associated with the assembly SRO. You are not required to re-run the Sales Entry Generate Service Orders for Assembly Report.
- The assembly SRO become eligible for editing. You must manually select the Assembly Ready for Service option on the assembly SRO in Service Management before performing any edits.
