KP Work Order Version Update Entry overview

After you create a new version of the kit product, use this option to find and update work orders. For a work order version update, the difference between versions is checked against the previous version tolerance in SA Administrator Options-Documents-Kit Production-Processing. You are warned if the version update exceeds the tolerance limit, but you can still select to update the work orders.

When the version is updated on the work order, all of the existing component lines are deleted and components from the new setup are added. This process keeps inventory balances up-to-date. If default components were modified when the work order was created, those changes are not maintained when the new version is applied to the work order.
