Product Shipping Restriction Setup overview

Use this function to set up product shipping restrictions by product, product line, or product category.
Specific product shipping restrictions for a product, which are created and maintained in Product Shipping Restriction Setup, restrict products to specific Ship Via parameters. Sales orders are placed on hold when those requirements are not met. Your company uses this functionality to comply with shipping and special handling restrictions required for the product. These restriction records can apply to sales orders or warehouse transfers with specific a Ship Via selection. Product shipping restriction records can also be set up to accompany a product sales restriction code. Enable the product shipping restriction functionality in SA Administrator Options-Products-Product Restrictions.
