Product > Setup > Extended Product Cross Reference

Function acronym: ICSEC

Use this function to create reference, customer, and vendor cross-reference records for products in your inventory.

Create reference records to cross-reference products with other products, such as substitute products, or identifiers, such as bar codes. Create customer records to cross-reference your product numbers and customer's product numbers. Create vendor records to cross-reference warehouse products with alternate vendors.

When you access Product Extended Product Cross Reference Setup, the Reference view is displayed. If you conduct a search or create a new record, your actions pertain to a reference type of record. Click Customer or Vendor in the toolbar to access those views.

You can only set up cross-reference records for the types that are selected in SA Administrator Options-Products-Alternates/UPC.

Information from a product cross-reference record can be included in Show ItemMaster BODs to applications that are integrated with Distribution SX.e if these conditions are met:

  • The integrated product can consume Show ItemMaster BODs.
  • The type of product cross-reference record is selected in SA Administrator Options-Integrations-ION Interface Options.

The Show ItemMaster BOD is generated when you run the SA Administrator ION Initial Load Report for the ItemMaster BOD and specify the logical id for the integrated application on the report.
