Product Catalog Setup - Pricing overview

Product > Setup > Catalog

Use this tab to set up standard and special pricing and cost information.

If the catalog product is converted to a regular stock product, the pricing information defaults to the appropriate fields in Product Setup or Product Warehouse Product Setup.

If you change Special Price/Cost information on this window, you have the option to update any Price/Discounting records that exist for the catalog product. If you select Yes for Apply Special Price/Cost Changes to PD, these updates are made to Price/Discounting records:

  • Active pricing records for Customer/Product, Customer Price Type/Product, and Product based on an amount have the Special Price/Cost factor applied to the price.
  • Product rebate records with a rebate or net rebate down to a flat amount have the Special Price/Cost factor applied to the price.
  • Price sheets for the catalog product have the Special Price/Cost factor applied to both the prices and costs.

While Product Catalog Setup records are not company specific, the Price/Discounting records in the current logged in company are updated.

If you select No for the message, no updates are made to Price/Discounting records.

Note:  Catalog products that exist in Product Setup, which are updated with changes made here, may have Special Price/Cost units that are different in Product Setup and Product Catalog Setup. We recommend you check all Special Price/Cost factors for this product to ensure they are in sync.
