Product Batch Reservation Report overview

Use this report to view lines that were delayed when the order was originally entered. Use the report to determine if you should reserve inventory to fulfill a line by the promise date.
You can use this report to fill orders for customers with a higher pick priority before orders for customers with a lower pick priority. Pick priority is set up in Customer Setup and Customer Ship To Setup.
After the reservation is complete, the amounts that were reserved are removed from the backorder balance for the warehouse product. The delay reservation setting on the line is also turned off. Back orders are created for amounts that cannot be reserved against current inventory levels or pending receipts.
We recommend that you schedule this report as a nightly batch report to facilitate your workflow.
