Ordering

Use the Ordering view to view the information from Product Warehouse Product Setup-Ordering. The order information directly relates to the Purchase Recommended Replenishment Action Report or Transfer Recommended Replenishment Action Report that uses the ordering controls to determine when additional quantities must be ordered. Each time you run Product Administration Month End Processing Report, the system recalculates the ordering controls information, if you select Yes for the Recalculate Ordering Controls option in Product Administration Month End Processing Report.

If you make any changes to the ordering controls on this view, click Update to update the Product Warehouse Product Setup-Ordering record. Click Update and Recalculate to update Product Warehouse Product Setup-Ordering and perform Product Administration Month End Processing Report-Recalculate function. This saves you the effort of running Product Administration Month End Processing Report manually after changing ordering controls on this view.

Usage History

On the Details window, select the Usage History option to view the historical usage figures of this product for the past 25 months. Usage is defined as the rate of anticipated usage (sales and transfers out) for a stocked item in the period just ahead, expressed as so many units per month. Usage rates form the basis for replenishment control calculations, which in turn generate the service and inventory turnover results.

If you know the historical usage for a product, set it up during the initial warehouse product set up. If you do not know historical usage for the product, the recorded history is used to build usage information each month when you run the Product Administration Month End Processing Report.

If you make any changes to the usage values on the Usage Information window, click Update to update the Product Warehouse Product Setup-Ordering record. Click Update and Recalculate to update Product Warehouse Product Setup-Ordering and perform the Product Administration Month End Processing Report-Recalculate function. This saves you the effort of running Product Administration Month End Processing Report manually after changing usage amounts (Override Usg, Days, #Times, Avg Inv) on this window.
