Use this report to make changes to records in Product Extended Serial Number Setup.

Use this report to perform these actions:

  • Verify existing records to ensure that the new numbers do not already exist
  • Search for the old numbers
  • Replace the old numbers with the newly created numbers

If you shipped a product that is not assigned the serial number that was recorded on the order, use this function to correct your records. For example, Product A with serial number 400 was sold on order 2890-00. When the order was shipped, Product A with serial number 500 is shipped. Use this function to take these corrective actions to place serial number 400 back into your inventory:

  1. Change serial number 500 to serial number that has not been set up in Product Extended Serial Number Setup, such as 555.
  2. Change serial number 400 to serial number 500.
  3. Change serial number 555 to serial number 400.
