GL Transaction Activity Report overview

General Ledger > Reports > GL Reports > GLRA

Function acronym: GLRA

Use the GL Transaction Activity Report to print a listing of history transactions.

The report contains a static line for each account: the account code, title, and beginning balance. The beginning balance is computed based on the period for which the report is being run. It also contains a historical listing of the transactions posted to the selected account codes from GL, AR, AP, IC, OE, PO, and WT. The report is limited to one specific year.

Credit card numbers are masked on all report output. This is to comply with the Payment Application-Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

Operator access to GL account balances is restricted to accounts which match the security options set in SA Operator Setup. If you process the report without security for the division, department, or sub-account ranges you specify, this message is printed on the report:

Some Accounts May Not Be Included Due To The Application Of Security Mask

The report varies depending on whether you specify information in the Posting Date or Period range. If the GL Account Setup ending balance and running accumulative balance are not equal, a check is made if all these conditions are met:

  • The Debit and Credit option is set to Both
  • The GL Transaction option is blank to print all
  • The Posting Date range is open
  • The Journal # range is open

This report identifies those accounts that are out of balance by printing this message next to each account code:
