GL Journal Inquiry - General Ledger overview

Use this page to view transaction detail for a specific journal, set or journal, and account number.

You can display debit transactions, credit transactions, or both. To view detail for a transaction, drill down on the line in the grid to view the Details and Extended Reference views.

Note: You can also view similar journal information in a report format. Depending on the ranges and options you choose for the report, the GL Transaction Activity Report provides a copy of GL journal information.

In this General Ledger tab, in the grid results, if the Journal # specified in the Search contains transactions that are associated with a Division and a Division Group, the Division description and the Division Group description are displayed. The Division is set up in SA Table Code Value Setup-Division-Description. The Division Group is set up in SA Table Code Value Setup-Division Group-Description. You can also show the related Division Group Code. Use Personalization to add this field to the grid. The Division Group Code is set up in SA Table Code Value Setup-Division Group-Group. These fields honor division security. Operators can only view account information in the divisions they have security for.
