GL Entry Batch Import Report overview

Use this report to import an Excel spreadsheet into GL Transaction Entry. GL Transaction Entry records are automatically created with those entries for each line (row) from the spreadsheet. You can then maintain and update the GL transactions.
To import information and automatically create General Ledger entries, you must follow a specific spreadsheet format. If you do not follow the correct format, the import fails.
This function can import up to 999 lines of transactions into the system. To successfully process GL Entry Batch Import Report and import the spreadsheet lines, you must have a unique batch name available, know the path where the spreadsheet you want to import is located, and know the exact name of the file you want to import. If you specify the wrong path or file name or do not use a unique batch name, the import fails.
