SA Table Code Value Setup - Ship Via field descriptions

Specify a code that represents a shipping method that is used to ship orders.
This code is user-defined. For some freight functions, it must identify the carrier and the freight method. Under this requirement, the first three characters should identify the carrier. The fourth character should identify the freight method. For example, if the carrier is UPS and the freight method is next day service, the ID could be UPSN.

- Specify a description for the code.
- Transportation Standard Carrier
- Specify the code that represents the freight carrier for the ship via. The values that are available in this field are set up in the Transportation Standard Carrier table.
- Transportation Service Level
- Specify the code that represents the timing of delivery for the ship via. The values that are available in this field are set up in the Transportation Service Level table.
- Transportation Method
- Specify the code that represents the method or type of transportation for the ship via. The values that are available in this field are set up in the Transportation Method table.
- Include in Transportation Management

Select this option to enable this ship via for selection when using the Sales Order Entry-Freight Rate Shop feature with Infor Rate Shopping - TM.
Note: If this option is not selected, the ship via is not available for selection on the Sales Order Entry-Freight Rate Shop window when integrating to Infor Rate Shopping - TM. - Shipment Type

This field optionally identifies which shipment types are allowed for the Ship Via. These shipment types can be validated for the active special handling codes in Product Setup. The special handling codes are created and maintained in SA Table Code Value Setup. For example, if the Shipment Type for a Ship Via includes Air Shipment, and the Shipment Type for the special handling code is Air Only, then the Ship Via is valid.
Select one or more options from Air Shipment, Ground Shipment, or Less Than Load (LTL), or you can choose Select All. Enable access to this field by selecting the Products, Product Line, Product Category, and Special Handling options in SA Administrator Options-Products-Product Restrictions. Selecting these options enables the related product shipping restrictions.
