SA Event Manager Event Setup field descriptions

Fields are presented in alphabetic order.

General

Action Range Options

Select one of these options to narrow the range of record types that qualify:

• Customer

  Indicate if you want to allow this event to be narrowed down by customer. If you select this option, you can specify a specific customer, list of customers, or range of customers as additional criteria for this event to apply in SA Event Manager Activate Entry.

• Vendor

  Indicate if you want this event to be narrowed down by vendor. If you select this option, you can specify a specific vendor, list of vendors, or range of vendors as additional criteria for this event to apply in SA Event Manager Activate Entry.

• Product/Product Category

  Indicate if you want this event to be narrowed down by product or product category. If you select this option, you can specify a specific product or product category, list of products or product categories, or range of products or product categories as additional criteria for this event to apply in SA Event Manager Activate Entry.

• Warehouse

  Indicate if you want this event to be narrowed down by warehouse. You can choose a specific warehouse, list of warehouses, or range of warehouses as additional criteria for this event to apply in SA Event Manager Activate Entry. If the event transaction does not specify a warehouse, the warehouse defaults from the operator’s SA Operator Setup record.

• Region

  Indicate if you want this event to be narrowed down by region. If you select this option, you can specify a specific region, list of regions, or range of regions as additional criteria for this event to apply in SA Event Manager Activate Entry.

Event Name

The name of the event you want to view information for. The event name usually contains the module the event is tied to and the actions involved in the event. For example, specify oe ordertype so to indicate that the event occurs when you enter a Stock Order in Sales Order Entry.

Long Description

This is a free-form text field that provides a detailed description of the purpose of the event.

Short Description

Specify the short description of the event to indicate when this event will occur. For example, specify OE Stock Order Created to indicate that this event occurs when a Stock Order is created in Sales Order Entry.

Source Name

The event processing program that determines whether the event has occurred.

Trigger Name

Specify the unique trigger associated with this event. Each event can only be attached to one trigger.
