Average Sales Quantity (ASQ)

Select this field to use the maximum amount entered in the Maximum Amount Difference field. This ensures that any increase to inventory values as a result of the ASQ adjustment does not exceed this limit. The maximum difference can also be set at the product level in Product Warehouse Product Setup - Ordering. If the maximum difference is exceeded, an exception is created during Product Administration Month End Processing. If an exception is created, the ASQ adjuster is not used to override the Product Administration Month End Processing calculated order point (raw order point) and line point (raw line point), nor will the order point or line point in Product Warehouse Product Setup be updated.
Clear this field if you do not want to use the maximum difference.

Select this field to include warehouse transfer hits in the minimum number of hits to process the ASQ calculation. Warehouse transfer hits are stored in Product Warehouse Product Setup - Usage History.
Clear this field to exclude warehouse transfer hits.
- Maximum Amount Difference

Specify the maximum amount to allow when adjusting inventory values based on the ASQ order point calculation. If the inventory change is greater than this amount, the ASQ adjuster is not used, and an exception is created during Product Administration Month End Processing that can be viewed in the Product Exception Center.
Although this maximum limit ensures that inventory values do not increase beyond what your company deems acceptable, do monitor the frequency of these exceptions and change the maximum difference if necessary.
- Minimum Hits

Specify the minimum number of sales hits required for the Average Sales Quantity (ASQ) calculation. If the total sales hits during the standard usage months is equal to or greater than this number, and the ASQ option in Product Warehouse Product Setup is selected, the ASQ calculation is performed. Sales hits are stored in Product Warehouse Product Setup - Usage History. Warehouse transfer hits are included when determining whether the product meets the minimum number of hits if the Include Transfers field is selected.
If this value is zero, the ASQ parameters are not used. The the next record in the Product Replenishment Setup hierarchy with valid settings is used.
Five-High Sales (5-Hi)

Warehouse transfer hits are included when determining whether the product meets the minimum number of hits if the Include Transfers field is selected.
If this value is zero, the ASQ parameters are not used. The the next record in the Product Replenishment Setup hierarchy with valid settings is used.
Note: The minimum number of hits threshold is checked before the highest sales quantity is removed from the Five-high average calculation.
