Product Customer Reservation/Forecast Setup - Copy field descriptions

Copy Product Detail Records

When you are maintaining a forecast and you want to copy product detail records, select this field and then specify how you want the monthly forecasts to be created.

Copy Usage

Select Forecast to create the new forecast using forecast usage. Select Actual to create the new forecast from the actual usage.

When a new forecast is created by copying another forecast, the forecast or actual usage forecast months are matched by period, month 1, month 2, month 3 rather than synchronized by calendar date. For example, month 1 is copied to month 1, even if month 1 for the source forecast is January and month 1 for the forecast being created by the copy is April.

Customer #

Specify the customer the product reservation or forecast is for.

Expire Date

Specify a range of expiration dates to search for existing reservation/forecast. Specify a beginning expiration date if you are creating a new reservation/forecast.

Take care when specifying the Expire Date. After you have created the reservation/forecast record, you cannot maintain this date. If you specified the wrong date, you must copy the record to a new record; specify the correct date, and then inactivate or delete the first record.

Setup Type

Displays the type of setup being copied, either Reservation or Forecast.

ShipTo

Specify the customer’s shipto, if applicable.

ShipTo Group

This field is available when you are maintaining a forecast. Specify a shipto group. If you are creating a forecast, you may specify either a shipto address or a shipto group.

Start Date

Specify a range of start dates to search for existing reservations. Specify the beginning start date if you are creating a new reservation.

Warehouse

Specify the warehouse that supplies the product, or allow the warehouse from the Customer Setup-Ordering or Customer Shipto Setup-Ordering be defaulted in this field when you specify the Customer # or ShipTo.
