Warehouse

Specify or look up a Storeroom warehouse. This field is required and must be a Storeroom-managed warehouse.

Count Type: (C)ycle or (P)hysical

Select Cycle to run a Cycle Count, or Physical to run a Physical Count Report. If you are printing count sheets for your initial load of product quantities during your Storeroom implementation, select Physical. If you have specified values in any of the ranges, they will be ignored if you select Cycle.

Include Distributor Owned Products?

Indicate if distributor-owned products should be included on the cycle count sheets. This is determined by the Customer Owned option in Product Warehouse Products Setup - Storeroom. If Customer Owned is not selected, it is distributor owned. Distributor-owned products can contain both distributor-owned inventory and customer-owned inventory quantities, however, the quantity that appears on the count sheet for a distributor-owned product will be the total quantity expected in the bin regardless of who owns it. If a distributor-owned product contains only customer-owned balances, it will not be included on the count sheet unless you select the option, Include Customer Owned Products.

This option does not apply if you selected a Count Type of Physical.

Include Customer Owned Products?

Indicate if customer-owned products should be included on the cycle count sheets. This is determined by the Customer Owned option in Product Warehouse Products Setup - Storeroom. If the Customer Owned option is selected, all quantities of the product are owned wholly by the customer. Products that are not marked as Customer Owned, but have only customer-owned balances are created as C-type count records and are included on the count sheets if this option is selected.

This option does not apply if you selected a Count Type of Physical.

Include Critical Products?

Select this option to include those products that have the option Critical Product selected in Product Warehouse Product Setup-Storeroom. Critical products are those that would cause processing to stop if you ran out of stock. This option does not apply if you selected a Count Type of Physical.

Include Lot Products?

Select this option to include lot products in the count. Lot products are designated by selecting Lot in the Control field in Product Warehouse Products Setup - General. This option does not apply if you selected a Count Type of Physical.

Include Shelf Life Products?

Select this option to include products designated with the Shelf Life option in Product Warehouse Products Setup - Storeroom. Products designated as Shelf Life are those that may only be good for a limited period of time, or come with an expiration date. This option does not apply if you selected a Count Type of Physical.

Count Sheet Printer

Specify or look up the printer you want to print the count sheets on. If you are using preprinted count sheets instead of plain paper, this should be a different printer than the printer you selected for the report itself. If this is blank, the Storeroom printer defined in Product Warehouse Description Setup - Storeroom is used.

Cycle Counts Per Week

Include Must Count Items? For example, if you perform your cycle count twice a week, specify This option determines the number of products included on a cycle count. Based upon the number of products and the number of days they must all be counted in, the system will calculate the products counted per count.Include Must Count Items? For example, if you perform your cycle count twice a week, specify 2 in this field. That number is divided into 7 days to determine the days per count: 7 / 2. The result is multiplied by the number of products that must be counted per day.

If you are using Storeroom, your Days Between Counts settings for each product type in Product Warehouse Description Setup - Storeroom determines the total of each product type counted in the run. Product types include Distributor-owned, Customer-owned, Critical, Shelf Life, and Lot. You selected the product types to be included on the count sheets when you checked any of the Include...? report options above.

Example: There are 450 products in your warehouse that must be counted every 90 days. You cycle count twice a week. The number of products in each count is calculated as follows:

450 / 90 = 5 products per day

7 / 2 = 3.5 days per count

5 * 3.5 = 17.5 products per count

This option does not apply if you selected a Count Type of Physical.

Include Must Count Items?
This option determines the number of products included on a cycle count. Based upon the number of products and the number of days they must all be counted in, the system will calculate the products counted per count.

Select this option to include products that have the Count Required option selected in Product Warehouse Products Setup - General, regardless of the other ranges and options selected. Products are automatically designated as Count Required during entry functions such as Sales Shipping Feedback EntryTransfer Shipping Feedback Entry when the quantity shipped is less than or greater than the quantity ordered.

Include DNR Prods with Quantity Zero?

Select this option to include Do Not Reorder (DNR) and Order-as-needed (OAN) products that have a zero quantity available. The default is ]No. Generally, you do not want to count DNR or OAN products with no quantity available. If this option is Yes, and the option, Include all Order as Needed w/Bin Loc is Yes, OAN products are included on the count sheets regardless of their quantity available.

Use (C)ustomer or (S)X Part Number?

Indicate the part number that is printed on the count sheets, either the customer number or the Distribution SX.e product number. If you select Customer, the Product Extended Product Cross Reference Setup record for the Distribution SX.e product is used, if one exists, to identify and print the customer product number. If an Product Extended Product Cross Reference Setup record does not exists, or you select SX, the Distribution SX.e product number from Product Warehouse Products Setup is used.

Page Break on B)ldg,R)ow,S)ection,N)one

Select the method by which pages will be separated for the count sheets. Your options include by Building, Row, Section, or None. This should be the most efficient method of counting within the selected Storeroom warehouse. The building, row, and section are obtained from the first three sections of the bin location ID: nn/nn/nnn/nnn. For example, a product assigned to bin location 01/02/002/004 will be found in building 1, row (or aisle) 2, section 2, shelf 4. Leave the default of None to print the count sheets without page breaks.

Products Per Inventory Count BOD

Indicate the number of products that should be sent at one time from Distribution SX.e to Storeroom via the InventoryCount BOD (business object document). The InventoryCount BOD is the XML file that transmits the data from Distribution SX.e that populates the count records in Storeroom when the Product Entry Storeroom Count Report is run. Due to the large number of products that could be sent via the BOD, it is recommended you accept the default of 100. The maximum number of records sent at one time is 999. The minimum is 1. If there are more records to be sent than the minimum specified here, the system will split the transfer of data into multiple packets until all records are sent. A single run number will be created for all of the BODs sent by the report.

Include All Order as Needed w/Bin Loc

Select Yes to include all order-as-needed products along with their bin locations on the count sheets. Select No and these products are not included if the quantity expected is zero, unless the option, Include DNR Prods with Quantity Zero is Yes.

Note:  Use care when selecting this option and the Include DNR Prods with Quantity Zero option. These should be set one way and not changed each time the physical/cycle counts are performed; otherwise, you may have inconsistent quantities to count, and all products may not be counted in the appropriate time frame.
