Sales Salesrep Exception Setup field descriptions

Fields are presented in alphabetic order.

Customer

Optionally, specify a customer number. If you specify a customer number, the exception record defaults are applied only to sales order lines for the specified customer.

Ending Product Category

If you selected Range, specify an ending product category.

Note: Using the Range option works best if you have defined your product categories in SA Table Code Value Setup in a logical sequence. A range is defined as a grouping of records that fall within an alpha-numeric sequence. If you specify a range of product categories, be aware that you may create an exception record for a range that overlaps another exception record that includes the same product categories in its range. You cannot prevent this overlap of exception records. If the beginning or ending product category falls within the range of another Sales Salesrep Exception Setup record for the same customer or ship to, a warning is displayed.

Product Category

Select a product category. Product categories must be set up in SA Table Code Value Setup-Product Category.

Range

Select this option if you are assigning the Sales Rep In or Sales Rep Out to a range of product categories. If you select Range, specify your beginning product in the Beginning Product Category field. Specify the ending product category in the Ending Product Category field.

Record Type

Non-enterable field. Currently, Product Category is the only record type supported.

Sales Rep In

Specify the inside salesrep that is assigned to the product category. This is optional if you are specifying a Sales Rep Out. The salesrep must be set up in Sales Salesrep Setup.

Sales Rep Out

Specify the outside salesrep that is assigned to the product category. This is optional if you are specifying a Sales Rep In. The salesrep must be set up in Sales Salesrep Setup.

Ship To

Optionally, specify a customer ship to number. If you specify a customer number, the exception record defaults are applied only to sales order lines for the specified customer ship to
