VA Order Entry - Detail - Line Extended Information field descriptions
Fields are presented in alphabetical order. Field descriptions for read-only fields are not provided.
- Cancel
-
This option is available only if you have security to cancel backorders. The option, Allow Cancel on BO Lines in VA IN Section, in SA Operator Setup-Entry Options, must be selected.
Select Prorate As is to prorate as originally expected, based on the original Quantity Needed. In other words, it keeps the same "recipe." This option is not recommended if the Quantity Ordered of the parent is expected to be changed.
Select Recalculate Proration to recalculate the proration based on the Quantity Shipped. In other words, it recalculates the full "recipe." For example, if 10 parent items are ordered, and the recipe requires that two each are expected to ship per parent quantity, and 6 have been shipped before the line is canceled, the cost of the 6 is prorated amongst the 10 to be received, as they are received.
Select Remove Proration to absorb the full shipped amount with the next receipt. You cannot reinstate a canceled line if the canceled line goes on backor once the cancel type is set and the parent lines are received.
