RS Queue Setup field descriptions
Fields are presented in alphabetical order.
- Begin Active Time
-
Specify the time at which the queue becomes active. This value is ignored if Inactive is selected in the Status field.
To set a queue to be active continuously, set the beginning time to
12:00 AM
and the end time to11:59 PM
. - Begin Queue
- Specify a queue name or partial queue name to limit your search results. A wild card is assumed after the queue name you specify. For example, if you specify a, then all queues that begin with the letter are displayed.
- Description
- Specify a brief description that identifies the purpose or contents of this queue. Descriptions are especially important if you use a numbering system for your queue names.
- End Active Time
-
Specify the time at which the queue becomes inactive. This value is used only if Active is selected in the Status and a valid begin time is specified.
- Last Changed By
-
Indicates when the queue record was last changed and by which operator.
- Log Directory
-
Specify the location of the directory to store the report log files for this queue. If you leave this field blank, report log files are not created for this queue.
In CloudSuite Distribution, this directory is specified during the automated provisioning process. You cannot change this value in the cloud.
- Log Ranges/Options
-
Select this option to include the ranges and options information for each report in the report log.
Note: This option does not cause your reports to print ranges and options selections in the report. This only includes range and option information in the report log. Access each stored report to indicate if you want the ranges and options information printed as part of your report. - Max Concurrent Jobs
-
Specify the maximum number of jobs that can be run from this queue simultaneously.
The Maximum Number of Simultaneous Jobs settings in SA Administrator Options-System-Report Scheduler take precedence over this value. Set by Infor, the maximum number of simultaneous jobs that can be run is 5 jobs per hour. This ensures that a single tenant cannot run a large number of reports at one time and potentially cause performance issues for other tenants within the database. Any more than 5 jobs are backlogged.
You can also modify this value for one or more jobs in the Detail grid in RS Queue Setup. The value in the Max Concurrent Jobs column is enterable.
- Priority
-
Specify the priority that is assigned to the queue. Every queue can be assigned a priority number of 1 to 99, with 1 the highest priority. Active queues are executed in the order of their priority numbers. Queues of higher priority must finish executing before queues of lower priority can be executed.
- Queue
-
Specify the name of the queue you are creating. Follow your company’s queue naming conventions when you assign a descriptive name to your queue. Good queue names indicate the purpose of the queue or the type of jobs the queue contains.
- Status
-
Specify the status of the queue. To run the jobs within the queue, the queue must be active. Active queues are controlled by their schedules. Inactive queues are on hold and are not scheduled until you change the status to active.
