Options

Update IC Discrepancies?

Default – No.

Select Yes to update discrepancies immediately. This process is not reversible, so be sure you want to make the changes.

Note:  Always perform this report in non-update mode first to review any discrepancies before actually updating.

The system assumes that the quantities developed from Sales, Purchase, Warehouse Transfer, and Kit Production are correct and that the Product record balances are incorrect. Therefore, when the update occurs, Product quantities are updated to match the quantities from Sales, Purchase, Warehouse Transfer, and Kit Production.

All quantities in Product Warehouse Product Setup are updated except the Unavailable quantity and On Hand quantity.

If the product's net available is negative, the following message appears:

Net Available Qty is Negative - Please Review

This is verified for all Product Warehouse Product Setup, regardless of the update status.

Select No to review discrepancies before updating.

Print Serial #'s, Lot #'s, FIFO's

Select Yes to print calculated available and unavailable values for all serial numbers, lot numbers, and FIFO's for all products with a discrepancy.

This might substantially lengthen the report, but there are benefits to reviewing them if the available and unavailable quantities are out-of-balance between the serial, lot, and FIFO record and Product record.

Update Ser/Lot/FIFO IC Discrepancies?

Select Yes to update any serial and lot discrepancies in available or unavailable quantities that may exist between the Product Extended Serial # Setup and Product Extended Lot # Setup and Product record.

Note:  The Print Serial #’s, Lot #’s, FIFO’s and the Update IC Discrepancies options must be Yes for this update to occur.

Select No to run this report in non-update mode first to review any serial, lot, or FIFO discrepancies. The products should be counted before the actual update is performed.

The update option updates the On Hand quantity and Unavailable quantity in Product Warehouse Product Setup. The following message appears if this option is Yes:
Net Available Qty is Negative - Please Review
Note:  If Use FIFO is selected in SA Administrator Options-Products-Costs, do not use this option until the initial layers are created. If this should happen, the Product Warehouse Product Setup On Hand quantity is changed to 0.
Posting Date for Unavl Discrepancies

GL postings are only made when unavailable inventory is adjusted based on Product Unavailable Inventory Entry records. The system only attempts to open a journal if this is the case. If a journal cannot be opened, an error message appears and the unavailable quantity is not updated.

Default - **/**/** (current date).

Specify the posting date to which you want to post this inventory adjustment. Specify -1 to -7 in the day field to go back up to 7 days. For example, specify **/-7/** and the system uses the current date less 7 days for the date.

Posting Period for Unavl Discrepancies

GL postings are only made when unavailable inventory is adjusted based on Product Unavailable Inventory Entry records. The system only attempts to open a journal if this is the case. If a journal cannot be opened, an error message appears and the unavailable quantity is not updated.

Specify the posting period to which you want to post inventory adjustments. To go back one period, specify -1 in this field.

Set Count Required if Print Ser/Lot/FIFO?

You can have items with a discrepancy marked to include in your next cycle count.

Select Yes and the system will automatically select the Count Required option for those products in Product Warehouse Product Setup.

Note:  The Print Serial #’s, Lot #’s, FIFO’s and the Update IC Discrepancies options must be Yes for this update to occur.
Print Manual Balance Changes?

Manual balance changes occur when someone manually changes the balances in Product Warehouse Product Setup.

Select Yes to print manual balance changes for each product with a discrepancy.

Is Alt Whse (ICSEW) Functionality Used?

An alternative warehouse is a logical warehouse that is not a physically separate location. It may be a showroom or counter sale area that is close to or is a separate room in your warehouse.

Select Yes only if you use alternative warehouse functionality and you want to shorten the report run time.
