Activating the notification for receipt signature capture

An Event rule and Trigger exist in SA Event Manager Event Setup and SA Event Manager Trigger Setup for notifying you if an order requiring a receipt signature was updated to shipped stage without a signature being captured; the signature requirement was overridden through Authorization Security Point: Ship Order Without Required Signature. Activate this notification only if you have enabled the CenPOS Signature Capture device option to use one device to capture a receipt signature and a credit card signature.

  1. Select System Administrator > Event Manager > Activate.
  2. In the Event Name field, specify oe-signaturecapture, and click Search.
  3. In the grid, select the oe-signaturecapture event and ensure the Activate option is selected.
  4. In the grid, select the oe-signaturecapture event and drill down to the Action view.
  5. Select the oe-signaturecapture event and click Edit.
  6. In General Information, specify this information:
    Who should receive the action?
    Select a method; for example, A Specific Email Address. You may want to set up a group for this notification that includes a supervisor and an Accounts Receivable representative. Set up the group in SA Event Manager Group Setup.
    Action Type
    Select Email Message.
    Email Address
    Specify the recipient of the e-mail notification.
    Email Subject
    Specify a subject, such as "Signature not captured."
    Email Message
    Specify the contents of the message. For example, “Order <ordemo> missing signature.”
    Expire Date
    Retain the default blank for no expiration date, or specify an expiration.
  7. Click Save.
