Defining event actions

Search for the event record, and then open it.

Click Action.

To create a new action, click New.

On the Range Filters view, specify this information:
- Indicate if you want the event to
occur in all warehouses, a range of warehouses, or a list of warehouses.
The warehouse defaults from the transaction or the operator’s
SA Operator Setup record if a valid warehouse
cannot be found on the transaction.
- If this event is
associated with a region, indicate if you want to limit the event occurrence to
all regions, a range of regions, or a list of regions.
- If this event is
associated with a product, indicate if you want to limit the event occurrence
to all product categories, a range of product categories, or a list of product
categories.
- If this event is
associated with a customer or ship to, indicate if you want to limit the event
occurrence to all customer and ship to records, a range of customer and ship to
records, or a list of customer and ship to records.
- If this event is
associated with a vendor, indicate if you want to limit the event occurrence to
all vendors, a range of vendors, or a list of vendors.

On the General Information view, specify this information:
- Indicate who should receive the
event action notification. Depending on the selection you make in this
field, you can specify the initials of a specific operator, the
operator’s position in the company, an Event Manager group name, or a
contact ID number.
- Indicate if you want to limit
this event’s occurrence with additional selection criteria based on an
amount, price, character field entry, and system date.
- Select an action type for the
operator and event. Specify a subject line and body text for the email
if you do not want to use the default text defined in the system. If you
specify text for the body of the email, specify the appropriate system
keywords to view specific event information, such as the order number,
date, and time.

To save the action definition, click Save.

Define another action for this event, or if you are finished,
close the window.
