Setting up phone area code listings

Infor provides all phone listings that are required in the system, but you can modify the system with additional phone listings. Phone listings are used throughout the system where telephone information is required. Set up the phone listing with a record for each area code, time zone, and state. Phone listing records are not company-specific. Because each phone listing record set up in SA Phone Listing Setup applies to all companies set up in the system, custom phone listings are available to all companies in a multi-company environment.

Caution: 
Only the system administrator should access this function. All other operators should have their security set to prevent entry into this function.

Prerequisites

Use file setup to set up the database with static information, and then to maintain or delete that information as it changes. Reports that list the information contained in the database are printed through report functions. As you enter information during the setup process, print the information so you can verify its accuracy.

The operator security settings determine which activities an operator can perform within each permitted function. Therefore, before attempting to proceed with System Administrator setup, make sure there is an operator record with the proper security settings to enable the setup process to move forward.

Because of the many inter-dependencies throughout the system, you must do the initial setup procedures in a specific order.

You must complete the following setups before initial file setups can begin:

  • SA Company Setup
  • SA All Company Information Setup
  • SA Setup Operator Setup
  • SA Table Code Value Setup
  • SA Tables Currency Setup
  • GL Account Setup
