Using time zone in a TWL warehouse

By default, TWL uses server date and time to record TWL processing such as interfaces, reports, EOD processing, and auto drop.

Select Include TWL in Time Zone Processing in SA Administrator Options-System-General to set up the TWL to apply one of these time zone options:

Time zone option Enablement
Use Client Time Zone to Load Date/Time on System Records Select No Static Time Zone option in the Use Static Time Zone in Place of Client Time Zone For Report and System Generated Date/Time Fields list
Use Static Time Zone in Place of Client Time Zone for Report and System Generated Date/Time Fields Select a static time zone in the Use Static Time Zone in Place of Client Time Zone For Report and System Generated Date/Time Fields list
Use Time Zone Selection for TWL Warehouse Select Include TWL in Time Zone Processing

The Include TWL in Time Zone Processing option is available only when you select Use Client Time Zone to Load Date/Time on System Records. These time zone settings are used for all TWL processing such as interfaces, EOD processing, and auto drop.

Additionally, you can specify the warehouse specific time zone in the Time Zone Selection for TWL Warehouse field in SA Administrator Options-System-General.

TWL processing is based on a company-wide static time zone and warehouse time zone in all areas. However, if you specify a warehouse-specific time zone, that time zone setting is used in all areas. These settings are also used for TWL Online and TWL WebUI RF processing, even where an operator record is present. Warehouse-specific time zones are also used to determine the date and time recorded for processes that do not have a specific operator like application interfaces, EOD processing, and the auto drop function.

The Warehouse grid to select the time zone for each warehouse is available when you select these options in SA Administrator Options-System-General:

  1. Use Client Time Zone to Load Date/Time on System Records
  2. No Static Time Zone option in the Use Static Time Zone in Place of Client Time Zone For Report and System Generated Date/Time Fields
  3. Include TWL in Time Zone Processing

TWL reports

This is the order in which the time zone for any TWL report is determined when you use these settings:

  1. Static Time Zone: If you use a static time zone, then a single time zone is used for the entire company including TWL warehouses. Static time zone has the highest priority.
  2. Warehouse Time Zone: If you use the client time zone and set up TWL warehouses with a specific time zone, then this warehouse time zone is used by the reports.
  3. Client Time Zone: If you use the client time zone without setting up TWL warehouses with a specific time zone, then the local date and time of the client machine is used by the reports.
  4. Server date/time: If Include TWL in Time Zone Processing option in the SA Administrator Options-System-General screen is clear, then the server date and time is used.
